Austin Cawley-Edwards is a Senior Software Engineer at Ververica, focused on the Ververica Platform and cloud-native Flink. As a previous data platform lead and user of Flink on Kubernetes, working with Ververica has allowed him to be even closer to his favorite communities. He's also a maintainer of the CNCF Service Mesh project Kuma and loves his dog.

Yuan Mei is currently the architect of Flink Engine at Alibaba, focusing on improving the runtime architecture for stream processing. She was a research scientist at Facebook before joining Alibaba, and she was one of the main contributors of Turbine: Facebook’s service management platform for stream processing. She has various experiences building streaming systems and many other data systems at Facebook as well. She holds a Ph.D. from MIT CSAIL.

Prior to Splunk, Lakshmi was one of the early engineers on the streaming platform team at Lyft, where she built the core infrastructure for running Flink jobs in production and co-authored the open source Flink Kubernetes Operator project.
